Jungle Champions

51 champions list Jungle among their positions — 29% of the roster, making it the 3rd most common of the five roles. 30 are listed for Jungle only, while 21 are flex picks that also appear elsewhere, most often in Top (13) and Mid (7).

45 of the 51 list melee range and 8 ranged; the ranged exceptions are Elise, Fiddlesticks, Graves, Ivern, Karthus, Kindred, Nidalee and Taliyah. 40 of 51 use Mana; the exceptions are Ambessa (Energy), Bel'Veth (Manaless), Briar (Fury), Dr. Mundo (Manaless), Lee Sin (Energy), Rek'Sai (Rage) and 5 others. The pool draws most heavily on Ionia (9) and Freljord (8), and after Human the most common species is Undead (5).

Jungle has shrunk as a share of new releases: 33% of champions released from 2009 to 2012 list it, against 26% of those released since 2019. The most recent additions are Zaahen (2025), Ambessa (2024), Briar (2023) and Naafiri (2023).

In Champlab, positions are a multi-value column. A guess goes green only when its position list matches the answer's exactly, and yellow when the two share at least one role. A pure Jungle guess that comes back yellow therefore tells you the answer is a flex pick that includes Jungle. Flex picks such as Ambessa (Top, Jungle) test two roles in one guess. The best first guess among Jungle champions is Zed, ranked 2nd of 173 on the strategy page, leaving 2.3 candidates on average — one of the strongest first guesses in the whole game.
