Bottom Champions

27 champions list Bottom among their positions — 16% of the roster, making it the least common of the five roles. 23 are listed for Bottom only, while 4 are flex picks that also appear elsewhere, most often in Mid (2) and Support (1).

1 of the 27 lists melee range and 26 ranged; the melee exception is Nilah. Every one of them runs on Mana. The pool draws most heavily on Demacia (4) and Ionia (4), and after Human the most common species is Yordle (3).

Bottom has grown as a share of new releases: 12% of champions released from 2009 to 2012 list it, against 23% of those released since 2019. The most recent additions are Yunara (2025), Smolder (2024), Nilah (2022) and Zeri (2022).

In Champlab, positions are a multi-value column. A guess goes green only when its position list matches the answer's exactly, and yellow when the two share at least one role. A pure Bottom guess that comes back yellow therefore tells you the answer is a flex pick that includes Bottom. Flex picks such as Corki (Bottom, Mid) test two roles in one guess. The best first guess among Bottom champions is Quinn, ranked 13th of 173 on the strategy page, leaving 2.6 candidates on average — a solid opener.
